Overview

Duties and Current Status
The Library and Information Services Office aims to provide information technology services to meet the needs of all faculty, staff, and students. Under the leadership of the Director, the office oversees various divisions responsible for implementing the university’s information policies, integrating and managing information resources, maintaining stable operation of information systems, and delivering integrated teaching, learning, and information services across campus.
Campus Network System
The university uses a CISCO 6509 as the core network switch and connects to the National Chengchi University network center to provide Internet access for all faculty, students, and dormitory residents.
To prevent increasing network violations—such as infringement of online intellectual property, spam distribution, cyberattacks, virus or malware infections, and hosting illegal websites—the Information Center utilizes an integrated network management platform that automatically detects problematic computers and performs block operations. Administrators may also manually add blocks to ensure a secure network environment for all users.
